On the 16th February, 2011 at the invitation of the NCPE the MCWO Executive Council met with NCPE CEO Dr. Romina Bartolo and colleagues to discuss mutual concerns and possible collaboration in joint projects, in the interest of enhancing gender equality.
The discussion focused on three main issues – Domestic Violence, Women in the Labour Market and Women in Public and Political Life. Additional discussions also focused on the labour market particularly on Commissioner Rizzo’s comments on female police officers re parental leave and reduced hours as well as on the benefits of after school activities.
